Sled dog sports in the Association of German sled dog sports clubs is powered by four FCI recognized sled dog races. These are:

In German sled dog sports association, all breeds go to the start.


In 1973, the first sled dog race, the Iditarod race over 1161 miles through the frozen land, wilderness and mountain ranges and the Arctic Ocean was leading, passed through. The Iditarod race is back on the events in 1925 where a sled dog team, the route between Anchorage and Nome lay back, to bring about vital medicine into the city.

In Europe, every year there are a large number of car racing and racing sled dogs instead of. The chariot races with three-wheeled, four-wheeled companion, but instead mainly of different designs, but they have more character training. Sledding on snow distinguish sprint, middle distance races and endurance races. In Germany, a 10-20 km sprint, middle distance races and 20-50km from 100km endurance race.
